After the viral Parish Council meeting that swept the nation, we have now been 'gifted' this purr-fect news report stating that Texas lawyer, Rod Ponton, was recently stuck with a cat filter on during a virtual court session. We can only smile at the thought. But also feel for all involved as it must have been rather stressful! Luckily, all were feline fine after the incident.
I am pleased to say that I have not experienced this issue with our virtual court hearings recently.
Who knows, the filter may have made Mr Ponton more purr-suasive in his arguments! Either way, I am sure the majority of us litigators are looking forward to returning to Court in person in the future.
Texas lawyer Rod Ponton was left flummoxed when he discovered his face was appearing as a cat during a court session on Zoom. As his assistant tried to rectify the issue, he can be heard saying, "I'm here live, I'm not a cat." Tweeting about the incident, Judge Roy Ferguson, who presided over the session, said it showed "the legal community's effort to continue representing their clients in these challenging times".
